Affairs, like other problems of self-control begin with thoughts in the mind. What some people call “Stinkin’ thinkin’ ” is at the root of the origin. Stinkin’ thinkin’ is the idea of “I want what I want when I want it and how I want it”. In older days, it was called selfishness. Once this way of thinking takes root, the infidel, focuses on themselves and self-satisfaction. This thinking rattles around or incubates for a while. After doing some thinking, they begin devising ways of acting on their thoughts. They begin acting it out in their head.

With some people, the acting out in the head is a far as things go. With others, the mental acting out is not enough, they want more. It is this group that begins finding ways and opportunities of making their dreams come true. They often find affairs because they are looking for them and opportunities for them.

This is where they start. When problems are not talked about, or there is intense arguing, the circumstances can increase the risks of acting out occurring.
