Cheating is like a cancer that eats away at the relationship. It destroys trust, and security. The longer the affair goes on, the more damage is done. If you do nothing, the marriage relationship will continue deteriorating to the point of concubinage. You will become just another one of the cheater’s lovers. at that point all the marriage does is influence the pecking order of which concubine the cheater patronizes first.
All the special qualities of the marriage relationship have been soiled. The sacred institution becomes nothing more than a business deal. You become just another piece of merchandise.
With that in mind, the time you need to act on the affair is NOW! Consider what you are doing about it today. Waiting another day only allows more of the trust and security to leak out.
Cancer is notorious for transforming functional, healthy human cells into killing machines. It turns what was life giving into a life destroying and life sucking freak. When ignored, they spread. Some spread faster than the others. Some may go dormant, but they remain lurking in the background. In a similar vein, cheating is a cancer-like relationship that transforms a marriage into a destructive relationship. That relationship then brings with it pain, heartache and destruction rather than affirmations and encouragement.
