Illness, Affairs and Interventions

This is the time of year when many people take extra precautions against illness. In my own family, there are family members who obtain their flu shots, load up on vitamin C and health enhancers.

They hope their actions boosts their immune system enough to avoid illness. They don’t like illness, so avoiding it by taking precaution is their health action plan.

Has it ever occurred to you that there’s a connection between affairs and illness?

Although the movies always portray cheaters as attractive and in good health, reality is very different.

Affairs bring stress. There’s no way of avoiding it. That stress in turn puts a huge strain on your body’s health.

When your body’s stressed, every system in your body is impacted. Although you may only notice the upset stomach or inability to sleep. You are only seeing the tip of what’s happening inside your body.

Your immune system is either compromised or shut down by the affair. If you have any unhealthy habits, that compromised status sinks even lower.

No amount of positive energy or healthy vibes are going to change things. Once your healthy is compromised, you’re vulnerable.

The connection between impaired health and affairs is very real. You may not like admitting it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

You may be fortunate and have a delayed reaction where illness strikes later. You can run, but you can’t hide from what’s coming.

What you can do is take steps that actually interrupt the stress circuit in your body. There are things you can do that stop the stress chemicals from damaging you on the inside.

Although you can’t hide from the what’s coming, you can do damage control. The challenge is knowing what to do. That’s where the video “Overcoming Affair Trauma” comes in. You can know what to do that interrupts the stress chemicals.

Instead of taking shots and increasing your vitamin C intake to reduce the risk of illness, taking action that stops the stress chemicals from spreading their damage is intervening on the inside.

Best Regards,

Jeff
