“Droning your spouse”

With today’s technology you now face questions of who is droning your spouse. A recent news story about a husband who caught his wife cheating by using a drone makes this question even more timely.

Prior to drone technology, the main way cheaters were caught was with their cell phones. You could go through their phone and discover their activities. At times it’s a matter of going through their call history, text history or snapchat history.

To counter this, cheaters often hid their phones, used locks to prevent access or special programs that disguise or hide the tell-tale signs of their cheating.

With the use of drones, you now have a new way of spying or being spied on. The use of drones takes catching a cheater to a new level and raises questions.

One question is whether or not you should use drone technology to spy on your spouse. Using a drone to spy on them definitely raises some trust issues.

When you have a video, you face the question of whether or not to post it online. Making their affair public does not speed healing. If anything, making it public adds a heavy dose of humiliation and shame to what they’ve done.

Technology, like drones amplifies the effects of infidelity. The pain is more intense, the shame is more intense, the drama is more intense.

Drones, whether used in spying on your spouse or assassinating  potential terrorists are ways of doing long-distance dirty work. When you do dirty work, there’s a price tag. You may know for sure what’s going on, yet you loose trust.

Drone spying on your spouse can’t be excused away. When you use a drone, you made a choice that can’t be revoked. The cheater may have chosen to cheat, yet the choice of using a drone makes a statement regarding the possibility of healing and recovery.

Droning your spouse says you don’t trust them. Perhaps you can use it to build trust after the affair. The cheater can use it to prove they aren’t doing anything wrong. Although the proof is there, are you going to believe it?

Some of you wouldn’t believe the cheater even if they have drone videos proving their innocence.

If you have to consider drones, your marriage has some serious trust issues. If you need help with restoring trust, we have resources that can help your marriage.

Best Regards,
