When it comes to dealing with infidelity, sometimes the situations that arise are so outrageous, you can’t help but say, “You can’t make this stuff up.” Just recently, I read an article about a wife who actually hired a hit man to kill her ex-husband after he got married to her best friend.
Reading this article reminded me of just how serious affairs can be and the consequences they can have. Affairs mess with people’s emotions and can turn even the most normal, loving parents into monsters.
In the article, it was clear that the ex-husband’s new marriage had sparked some kind of infidelity suspicion, which made his ex-wife furious. At first, everyone brushed off her angry comments, thinking she was just joking around. But as they say, it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. And in this case, her threats were proven to be very real when she set a petrol bomb that damaged her ex-husband’s home. It was a shocking wake-up call for him and his new wife.
This situation wasn’t like the movies, where ex-spouses simply move on and live happily ever after. No, this nightmare continued in court, where it was revealed that the wife had actually hired three different hit men to try and kill her ex-husband.
Situations like this are far from easy to deal with. They remind us that affairs are no joke and require our attention. Ignoring the issues only makes them worse and prolongs the pain.
You can’t just brush off the hurt and pain that your spouse is feeling. It’s real and they will make sure you know it, whether it’s through direct or indirect reminders.
