Sick Relationships

Discover the strange twist that has made “sick” the new trend. In today’s culture, when something is called “sick,” it actually means it’s amazing! But why is that? Let’s dive into the intriguing reasons behind this shift.

Growing up, “sick” always meant something twisted or unhealthy. The idea of referring to something as sick being good or amazing is mind-boggling. Think back to school days – getting sick meant danger, gross hallways, and a trip to the nurses office. Those are definitely not something desired.

Yet, here we are in modern times, where “That’s sick!” is a statement of approval and wonder. It’s a phrase that conveys the highest form of praise, with a hint of fear.

Personally, I still associate “sick” with its original meaning of being unhealthy. So when I call a relationship “sick,” it’s truly beyond dysfunctional. These relationships exhibit unhealthy patterns that persist despite their detrimental effects on both partners. Some have become so accustomed to the dysfunction that they no longer see it as a problem.

Sick relationships can blur the lines between what’s healthy and what’s not. And they often lead to affairs. It’s a vicious cycle that keeps you stuck, feeling powerless to change anything.

The main culprits behind these sick marriages are trauma bonding and sexual addictions. They lure you into relationships and situations you never expected. They steer you into unhealthy relationships with people that are bad for you. Sadly, some of the unhealthy people stalk you down and try keeping you stuck in the unhealthy patterns. But there’s hope.

I’ve created a report called “Bonding and Addictions” to help those struggling with these sick patterns in their marriage. It provides guidance on dealing with these unhealthy forces and reclaiming a healthier, happier relationship.

You don’t have to continue living in the desperation of a sick marriage. Download your copy of the report today and take a step towards a healthier future. Don’t let unhealthy relationships define you.

Keeping it real,

Jeff
