Resentment

Resentment is a strong emotion. Since it is so strong it is important that you have a clear idea what you are experiencing.  When experiencing resentment, you may find yourself oblivious to the opinions and comments of others. It brings with it a kind of single-mindedness that allows you to block things out. True resentment occurs when we perceive a the we have been done wrong. The wrong that triggers resentment are not those that are intentional. You can understand mistakes and poor judgment to some degree, which have their own emotional reactions to go with them. Resentment is usually reserved for when someone intentionally did us wrong. When we feel that that has occurred, resentment is triggered.

Resentment also energizes us. It gives us the power to accomplish the tasks that we must do. There is a time and a place for resentment, especially with affairs. If you are experiencing resentment, consider what it is that you need to accomplish? What do you need to achieve in order to satisfy the resentment. Bear in mind that resentment is NOT revenge. Revenge is into paybacks. Resentment is about exposing and fixing the injustice.
