When your spouse engages in unusual behavior the question arises as to whether they are being weird or whether they are having an affair. In many cases, the person asking the question, not wanting to consider the possibility of an affair, will assume that their spouse is just being ‘weird’. What would be considered weird behavior?
1. Taking a vacation to a romantic location by themselves.
2. Frequent business trips with large bar tabs.
3. Insistence that they have to purchase gifts for clients around Valentine’s Day.
4. Being secretive about who they call on their cell phones.
5. Having all the charge card and phone records sent to the office rather than the home.
6. Frequent purchasing of new underwear.
7. Charges at locations that cater to members of the opposite gender.
8. Being secretive about health related issues (lab tests, blood work, etc.)
9. Sudden obsessive cleanliness of their body or automobile.
By themselves, these items do not indicate an affair although they may be early warning signs of potential problems.
