What do you really know?

When confronting the cheater, you may need to consider “What do you really know?”. You will need to confront them with facts, not speculation. Do you really know that they are sleeping with their lover, or only that they are meeting and texting frequently? This may sound like hair splitting, but it can save you hours of grief and large amounts of pain. When you confront on what you suspect, the cheater will likely argue with you on minute points. It is important that if you bring up specific examples to confront them with, that you stick with facts and speculation. If you are wanting to confront them on emotional concerns, you will need to stick with that. Mixing emotions and speculations will lead to a convoluted mess.

So before you confront them on what you suspect, consider the question, “What do you really know?”. Your mind may be racing to connect the dots, but when it comes to confrontation, you will need to stick to the facts, not to what you suspect.
