Finding the Cheaters online trail

Are you looking to see if your spouse is cheating online? If you are, do you  know where to start and what to look for?

Finding your way around social networks can be a challenge if your spouse is internet savvy.

First, it they have an account with dating sites, they are ‘on the prowl’. Dating sites like eHarmony.com and Match.com are good for what they are intended for.

The challenge is that when a spouse decides to cheat, even innocent or innocuous sites can be used for devious purposes. They may be hiding what they are doing in plain sight, yet you never see it.

If they venture into sights like AshleyMadison , OKCupid, NSA Dating, AdultFriendFinder or the like, they are looking for an affair. Bear in mind that many of these sites have mirror locations and may not use the url addresses that reveal the true nature of their sites.

Such sites can be reached either directly or via links from twitter or other networks. This means that going through the browser history may not show you the true nature of where the cheater has been.

This means you  may have check their cookies. Most cheaters do not think to erase the cookies of where they have been. If the cheater is using their smartphone, then following their activity will be a greater challenge.

With smartphones, there are many applications that hide the true nature of their function. They may appear to be an innocuous calculator or some other function, yet in actuality, they are tools used in the cheating community to hide what they have been up to.

If the cheater is highly sophisticated, they may be using ‘secretive’ sites whose address gives no indication of its true nature. Many swingers groups limit notice of where they meet to insiders. If you’re not an insider, it’s hard finding out what’s going on or where.

In general, look for patterns. Sites or locations where they spend a lot of time. Look for sites where large amount of time are spent, but there’s not a clear reason for them visiting that type of site.

Although as people we want to think that we’re independent in our actions, the reality is we are creatures of habit. We have routines and patterns. When the cheater deviates from their pattern, it’s alerting you to something.

Look for frequent erasure of search history, cache erasure or cookie erasures. The frequent erasure does not automatically mean that they are having an affair, but it’s usually associated with them ‘hiding’ where they’ve been.

If they erase a lot, and keep their password from you, it’s a red flag alerting you that danger is near.

There are also applications for smartphones tracking where the cheater goes, along with keyloggers that can be installed in order to know where they are actually going with their phones.

These helps will get you started on finding out if your spouse is cheating online.

On discovering cheating, swift action is needed. The window of opportunity is limited. When they say, “I’ll do anything!” you have a brief window. If you put off taking action like downloading and having them do the “Affair Recover Workshop” with you, that opportunity is limited.
