With the economy being what it is, you are fortunate to have a job. In such times, some spouses find that they have to travel out of town, whether it be for sales, meetings or seminars. Since you can not stop your spouse from going out of town, what can you do?
1. Know what their itinerary is. This includes knowing when they fly, where they are going, and what hotel they are staying at.
2. Set up an arranged phone time, rather than making continuous calls.
3. Be familiar with the people they are going with. What does your gut tell you about the people they work with.
4. Do your homework on the event. Does the even seem legitimate? You can call a hotel or visit sites on-line to let you know about any events in that city.
5. Don’t start a fight with them prior to them leaving.
These are just a few ways to reduce the risk of cheating while they are out of town. It is not an exhaustive list, just a place to start. If you spouse has a history of cheating, you may need to take more steps.
