When you are forced into the swamp dealing with an affair, you may need to know what your limits are up front. Yes, you love the cheater. You are willing to overlook many things. Even with the power of your love, you need to consider how far you are willing to go. When in the midst of an affair, you may find yourself compromising your values a little at a time. You give in here and there, start accepting this and that, and in a short period of time, you do not even recognize yourself anymore.
Compromise as a negotiation in one thing. Compromising your values to keep the peace amounts to ‘selling out’. It is much easier to know what your limits are before sliding down the slippery slope than to try to dig yourself out later on.
