Infidelity of women is often misunderstood. Since the ‘statistics’ show that men are more often the cheaters than the women, the men are often portrayed as the cheater in mass media and movies. The reality is that there has been an increase in the number of women who cheat. There are many reasons for such an increase in the infidelity of women. I deal with these in my hub on the topic (Married Women who Cheat). Since I dealt with it there, I will cover other aspects.
There are some things that you men do need to understand about the infidelity of women. In some cases, they are seeking sexual gratification. You would be mistaken to assume that all infidelity or even a majority is about sexual gratification. Women view sexual activity differently than men do. They are often attracted to others based on their emotional needs. When someone appeals to their emotional needs, you are facing a bigger risk than from someone who is ‘sexy’. If you are dealing with a wandering wife, you need to address their needs if you hope to regain them. You will be mistaken if you assume 1) that all women think the same 2) that all women are driven by sexual attraction 3) that all women look at sex (or sexual related behaviors) the way that you do.
You will need to know what your wife needs. You will need to talk gently but firm with them (not preach at them). You will need to listen to them more than you talk. If you are talking more than they are, you are making some major mistakes. You will need to understand what their needs are BEFORE you start assuming that it is all about sex or a rejection of you. You will need to tune into them and value what they tell you more than you tune into what Playboy or Penthouse magazine says about women.
Find out what YOUR wife needs rather than assume that she is like the other women who took surveys or what your friends tell you.
