Small Town Affairs, Common Knowledge and Secrecy

This past week, one of my son’s brought some troubling information to my attention. He pointed out that one of the health professionals where I live was accused of making passes on customers.

News like that troubles me on several levels. While processing the unsavory news, I recalled a conversation I had with my cousin, the dietician.

She knew I help couples recover from affairs, so that topic came up. She’d seen her share of them in some of the small towns she practiced in.

In that conversation, we discussed the problems that come with small town affairs. Part of what came out is the prevalence of affairs happening in some healthcare practices in small towns.

The conversation covered many aspects of the problems such affairs present. They make the professionals look bad, they prey on the patients, and create a creepy atmosphere.

One of the worst parts is how such affairs and rumors of them spread through the small town. In some circles, the affairs are common knowledge that is considered a secret.

Those social circles know all about who’s sleeping with who, and what they don’t know they spread rumors about.

Even though common knowledge and secrecy are usually mutually exclusive, in a small town it happens more than people realize. People know things, even though they don’t talk about them with you.

The secrecy includes both the affairs along with getting help for them. Although such matters should be private, in small towns, neighbors pay attention to whose car is parked where.

This is where products like the “Affair Recovery Workshop” can help you. You can work on your marriage without snooping eyes and wagging tongues telling everyone your business.

No one will see your car at the counselor’s office, or talk about the meds you’re taking.

A small town affair doesn’t have to ruin your reputation. Those small town affairs can leave some nasty scars.

Best Regards,

Jeff
