The bitter pill of Affairs

Although the popular media portray affairs as fun and acceptable, my experiences paint a different picture. One of the most bitter episodes in people’s lives are those related to affairs.

In one conversation with a business associate while driving through West Palm Beach, he turned to me and said “My friend was never the same after his wife had an affair.” He continued on pointing out the drastic changes he observed.

It totally transformed him“. There was a brief pause as he held back the feelings. “He was never the same after that”.

I could tell that seeing his friend go through an affair impacted him as well. He saw all the potential in his friend disappear.

Since he was a businessman, seeing the potential disappear was akin to seeing all the life drain out of him. My associate was also expressing concern for himself as well.

Cheaters forget that the impact of their actions have a ‘ripple effect’. Like a tidal wave, the pain damages everything in its pathway.

Something about that conversation struck me. It was the unpredictability of damage from an affair. Some people take them in stride, while others are never the same afterwards. Although you can see warning signs of an affair, there are no warning signs for how it will impact you.

On hearing how some people are so totally devastated only encourages me in helping couples like you recover from an affair. There are things you can do that limit the damage and repair your relationship.

A decent damage control plan does a lot in preventing one of those situation where people are never the same again.

Working through affair recovery and its pain takes effort. Affair recovery is not an ‘go with the flow’ or ‘take it as it comes’ kind of activity.

Recovery is an active task. You can’t sit back and just wait for healing to magically happen on its own.

I’ve put together the best material I’ve found in “Affair Recovery Workshop“. It takes you systematically through what you need at each stage of affair recovery.

You can do something that removes the toxins from the bitter pill of affairs

Best Regards,

Jeff
