WiFi, Impulse Control and Affair Relapse

The closest I’ve ever become to being an electronics expert was studying for a biofeedback certification exam. As part of the exam required extensive knowledge of various biofeedback machines, electrical systems and the electrical impulses given off my muscle systems.

I studied the material for weeks. I even enlisted the help of my father, who was a rocket scientist in order to understand the electrical parts and formulas involved.

I considered it pretty sophisticated stuff. Although I didn’t pass the test, I retained some knowledge of the basics involved.

It gave me an understanding of the sensitivity of the human body to electrical impulses along with how stress interrupts normal patterns of behavior and activity. Electrical activity definitely effects human functioning.

With this awareness, I was intrigued by an article referring to a study done on wi-fi waves and their impact on humans. The study is claiming that they disrupt the blood brain barrier.

Anything that disrupts the blood brain barrier impacts your behavior. In the case of the study, researcher believe that the disruption interferes with impulse control. The researchers claim that wi-fi may contribute to increasing amounts of road rage.

If wifi leads to poor impulse control over anger, what about other areas needing impulse control?

I immediately considered affairs. With wifi interfering with impulse control, it makes me wonder if it contributes to the increasing number of affairs as well.

Although moral choices are made, the wifi phenomena could be an unseen factor tipping a potential cheater in making impulsive choices. I’m not saying that cheating is due to wi-fi.

I am saying that this is an area needing further research. Cheaters are always looking for excuses, and I don’t want to give them one with the wi-fi research. I do think that when you clean the house of reminders of the affair or the cheater has extra-sensitivity to electronic phenomena, you need a closer look at it’s influence.

In the video, “Overcoming Affair Relapse” you’ll discover other interventions needed in reducing the risk of relapse. With membership in the support community at Restored Lifestyle, you’ll have access to this video and others along with forums for discussing your concerns.
