Affairs, death and gravity

As harsh as it sounds, the reality is that all affairs end in death. This truth is as strong a reality as gravity. You can not escape it. Someone or something is going to die. In some cases, it may be your marriage, your relationships with your children, your job, or your finances. The affair is going to cost you or the cheater something.

Many cheaters believe that they are exceptional. Either the rules do not apply to them or somehow when they crash and burn, they believe that somehow not everything will be ruined or that not everything will be burned. This is part of their denial. They do not realize that in the cases where cheaters survived with minimal damage, it was usually because they allowed the affair to crash and burn. The cheaters are often good at hiding the damage, but rest assured, it is there. In the cases where people have an abundance of money, they often take big financial hits with their affairs. Besides the financial hits, there is the damage to conscience and reputation. These damages are often not seen, but the effects of the damage is significant.

When you are in the middle of an affair, it is not time to penny-pinch. The survival of your marriage, your family and your soul is at stake. When people are drowning, they do not calculate what swim strokes will conserve their energy, they paddle for their lives. The do everything they can and put their all into their efforts at saving their lives. If you are in the midst of an affair, you need to follow their example and go full tilt boogie to save your marriage. It may end up saving more than you imagined.
