Today is Friday. Although it may start off like many typical Fridays, there’s a chance that this one day will change your life.
First, do you know where your spouse is? What kind of emotional state were they in the last time you talked with them?
It’s a good time for contacting them. I’ll tell you why.
I don’t know what your typical Friday is like. I don’t know what you have scheduled. What I do know is that the most frequent day for an affair to happen is Friday.
There’s many reasons behind the affairs, albeit none of them are good ones. The cheater may feel neglected, they may be drinking too much which given this time of year, the office Christmas party poses a threat.
The cheater may be bored, feel ignored or just wanting to let loose after a rough week at work. All these are possible excuses and explanations. What’s important is realizing the danger that Friday evenings pose to your marriage.
Even if the affair is over, the danger of anniversary reactions and affair relapse hangs around for years after the affair. This is why I tell others that “just because the affair is ended doesn’t mean it’s over“.
The anniversary reactions pose a threat to the cheater and to you. In your case, it may be fears that it could happen again.
There’s also something about Fridays and high risk situations. Come Friday evening, there’s a good chance the cheater will be in a high risk situation. If they’ve had a challenging week, they’re vulnerable.
You may have even told yourself that you should have seen it coming. You were likely distracted and not paying attention to some danger. This is why I’m alerting you to the danger of Friday evenings.
