The pit and the net

Although humans have advanced in their hunting tools, the techniques used in the hunter-prey relationship have lessons for those struggling with affairs. Some of the old hunting methods consisted of using the pit and the net. A pit was dug for prey to fall into. The pit was often disguised and hidden. If it was obvious, they would not be able to catch the prey they were seeking so easily.

Once the prey fell into the pit, they quickly followed up with the net. A net was thrown over the prey to limit the movement or options of the prey and render escape impossible. When the prey was caught and rendered immobile, the old hunters then went in for the kill.

When one is dealing with seducers, the methods have not changed much. The seducer hunts for their prey. Traps are set to capture their prey. Instead of pits, modern seducers construct emotional, legal or psychological pits for their prey. Once the prey falls into the trap, they come in with the net, which further reduces their options and then they are taken.

In overcoming affairs, it is important for couples to know what the danger signs and signals are that indicate the presence of a pit. There are often tell tale signals that an alert person could easily identify as a trap. In many cases, had the victim seen the warning signs, they could have avoided the trap. Learn to spot the warning signs. Realize that there are no free lunches or free sex. Realize that when a person says “my husband/wife is out of town and won’t be back for several days”, it is often a warning sign. Realize that if when you can get into their pants too easily, there is often a reason for it. Realize that the phrase “no one will know” or “we’re both consenting adults…” or “who will it hurt?” are all signals that trouble lies ahead.

It is also best to avoid dangerous situations, like dining or working late alone with a member of the opposite gender.  Such situations lend themselves to potential problems.
