Easter, changes and affairs

In looking back on the Easter celebration, I was reminded that in dealing with affairs, you need to allow things to change. When you say and believe that the cheater will NEVER change, they probably won’t. When you develop an attitude of resignation thinking that the way it was is the way it is, you will continue getting more of the same. If you want change, you need to make room for change. You need to believe change is possible, for both yourself and the cheater.

Many times we do not find change because we are either not looking for it or we want the security of the familiar.(Although you may call it security, it is more like tyranny).

Below are some of the steps to take in allowing change to occur. It may seem odd to you to ‘give yourself permission’. The way the brain works, there are many times that you have to give yourself permission or allow something to occur before it does. When you remain stuck in your old ways of thinking, talking and living, there is often no room for change.

Steps to accept change:

1. Believe that change is possible.
2. Give yourself permission to change
3. Change your thinking
4. Change yourself
5. Notice and acknowledge change in others
6. Give others permission to change
