When you should catch a cheater

The most effective time for you to catch a cheater is before they cheat. When you can intervene before they have ‘cheating on their mind’ (as the old Gary Puckett song went). Although catching them before they do something is preferred, most cheaters are caught afterwards. When you catch them after the act, there are several problems. One is that they often experience relief at finally being caught. This ‘relief’ is often counter-productive. At the time you want them to be hurting, they are feeling little pain and you are feeling it all.

In order to catch a cheater before they ‘act out’ their fantasy, you will need to be alert and perceptive. You will need to trust you gut. When something does not feel right, you will need to listen to that intuition rather than ignore it. When you feel them pull away from you or distance themselves is when you need to do something. Waiting until the deed is done will confirm your fears, but also make it harder to deal with.

If you are one who has already gone through the heartache of an affair, learn from it, and take action when you sense that things don’t feel right.
