The Early Warning Sign of Lack of Gratitude

One of the often overlooked common traits with cheaters is the lack of gratitude. Although the experts don’t routinely mention it, that by no means lessens its importance.

The lack of gratitude shows up as an early, early warning sign for trouble. It’s a signal that you are growing self-absorbed.

The lack of gratitude is also an issue with affair relapse. Although it’s easier to notice in the cheater, it’s also an issue during affair recovery.

During recovery it’s hard finding anything you can be grateful for. When you’re hurting, it’s hard being grateful.

When gratitude becomes part of your daily life, it changes your outlook. Rather than focusing on the negative, you start noticing good things.

You find yourself sincerely believing and finding the good instead of dreading and suffering through the worst. Being a believer in how you find what you’re looking for, when it comes to gratitude, this saying is truer than ever.

There’s a big difference between denial and having an attitude of gratitude. With denial, you don’t see the whole picture.

With genuine gratitude, you see things realistically yet notice and express gratitude for the little blessings that come your way. When gratitude is a way of life, it attracts more positive people into your life.

Focusing on the negative and being ungrateful, on the other hand, attracts negative people and repels the positive ones. If you wonder why you always find the wrong people, it could be that you’ve trained your mind to look for them along with adjusting your attitude to their wavelength.

Affair recovery, when its genuine involves changing your attitude and outlook. These changes are needed with you and the cheater.

Gratitude is also a key part of the forgiveness process. If you’ve never been told about the connection between forgiveness and gratitude, you’ve got some learning to catch up on.

In the video, “Forgiveness: Stop the Pain, Tear down the Walls and Remove the Roadblocks” you can learn about the connection between forgiveness and gratitude. It may be what’s missing in your recovery.
