There are some of you who may think it is alarmist of me to state the “Affair are life-threatening emergencies”, although those who have been down that road know that it is true. Affairs are a matter of life and death. There are some cheaters who view affairs on the level of lies and other misdeeds. Those cheaters are mistaken, they do not see the threat to life involved.
Affairs threaten your life by exposing others and being exposed to potentially life threatening diseases. Affairs spread diseases, both physical and moral. They are also life threatening due to the intense emotional reactions they trigger. Many times spouses or lovers are killed as part of an affair. Just being involved in an affair increases the risk of being killed. For men, the risk of being murdered increases three times just by having an affair. You need to ask yourself the question posed by Clint Eastwood, “Do you feel lucky?”
Rather than dismiss affairs is an activity where no one gets hurt, you need to take the blinders off and realize that it is a life-threatening condition. You may end up loosing more than your bank account, your marriage, your reputation and your family.
