Counselors are often asked if they have any recommendations for books or websites. In my years in the field (30+ years), I have found several that I feel comfortable about. They provide good, helpful information and present solid information to those of you who are hurting from an affair. These are the resources which deal directly with the affair.

I have not commented lately due to illness. Ended up very ill for several weeks. IMHO, mostly because of stress from dealing with a ‘narcisstic nincompoop’!! This is a term I use to shed a little ‘humor’ on the insanity that is faced by those so ‘blessed’ to be married to a serial cheater.
So glad you mentioned Dr. Harley and his works. His book on adultery was one of the very first I read! So glad it was, considering all the garbage written on the subject! His work in all areas of life and relationships is superior. Have read several of his books. I have had his web site bookmarked for a number of years. Incredible info from an incredible person.
Hope others that have not yet consulted him will do so pronto. His approach and ‘take’ on things is so in tune with yours, DrJeff. Even though he does not claim to be a ‘Christian counselor’, his view is totally consistent with our Creator’s requirements for marriage. And that is the only view that has any merit, the only way that actually brings happiness, the only way that really works. So glad these resources are available to those of us who desire to do things God’s way!
And, I plan to take a look at the others that are new to me.
