Jezebels and Bedroom Eyes

A woman with alluring eyes

The millennial youth miss out on the significance of when a new flame gives you a picture of them. This may also explain the allure of Snapchat. You can now see instantly what previous generations only captured in photos. I don’t understand Snapchat, much the same way millennials don’t understand the significance behind some of those old photos.

It was a thrill and an accomplishment when you were finally given that special photo. Once you have it, you carry it with you or in a special place. Each time you looked at it, feelings were triggered inside of you. Over time you studied the curves of their face, the look in their eyes, and how they wore their hair with a deep interest. Looking back on those times, I realize that the triggering of such feelings was training my brain and heart.

A photo was not just something that sent someone to the moon and back; it was the journey itself.

There was one episode that stood out when I was showing some friends a photo of my latest flame. One of them remarked, ‘She’s got bedroom eyes’. At that time, I hadn’t heard that saying. The comment startled me. The closest I had come was the line from Herman’s Hermits cover song, “If ever a pair of eyes promised Paradise, it was you, Jezebel, you…”

Although the song Jezebel was written in the fifties, it has been recovered by major artists every few years, including Tom Jones, Frankie Lane, Edith Pilaf, and Belinda Carlisle. When a song continues being covered, it’s either a good song or conveys a truth. In this case, there’s a truth about bedroom eyes and Jezebels. Even after all the repeated warnings about Jezebels and bedroom eyes, generation after generation continues falling for them.

Jezebels lure people with their eyes. Their eyes hook you with an inviting interest that wants “More!” Many cheaters have a hard time resisting women with such alluring eyes. It is not by accident that many hookers devote great attention to eye make-up. They know the power of having ‘bedroom eyes’. Good eye makeup attracts potential victims. The eyes hook you and then they use other charms as you get closer.

Not everyone who has bedroom eyes is a Jezebel. They can’t help having nice eyes. They turn Jezebel when they purposely use their seductive looks to manipulate others or seduce your spouse.

Drawing attention to the eyes is a powerful relationship hook. Experienced lovers know that once they get a potential target drawn to their eyes, they can bring them closer. Good bodies may get an initial look, but it’s the bedroom eyes that draw you physically closer to them. The eyes send the message, “come on over, get closer“.

Although a married spouse should run away at that point, instead, the eyes draw them in. There is something about a long gaze at eyes that has a hypnotic effect. At that point, the power of resistance short circuits, lust is aroused, and “it’s game over for the home team”. The eyes continue drawing their victim in closer and closer. Any last-ditch safety provided by personal space boundaries is quickly forgotten.

The power of bedroom eyes is not limited to romantic relationships. They can also be used in professional settings, such as job interviews or negotiations. A study by the University of British Columbia found that people with larger and more open pupils were perceived as more intelligent and attractive, giving them an advantage in these situations. So the allure of bedroom eyes is not just a story making the rounds in romance circles.

The dangerous Jezebels are the ones who know how to use the power of their eyes to the fullest in seducing others to their wishes. When they have the attitude “I can make them do whatever I want them to do“, you have a Jezebel on your hands. When they have such an attitude, relationships become a commodity to them. Relationships are another tool used in accomplishing their goals.

One way of reducing the threat of Jezebels and those with bedroom eyes is by strengthening your marriage. The “30 Days to a Better Marriage series” reduces those risks. Order yours today. When your spouse is solidly committed to your marriage, they won’t have wandering eyes that find those with bedroom eyes.

Keeping It Real,

Jeff
