The cheater’s self-confidence in a capsule

Does it surprise you that cheaters who are accustomed to giving into their many urges eventually need pills and assistance to help them perform? Without their little pills, they find that they are not able to ‘be themselves’. It is as if the little pills are their self-confidence. It is a sad statement of self-confidence that “Being themselves” is wrapped up in sexual performance. Although the pills are often associated with men, with greater frequency, women are using them as well, or using their bodies and ‘showing the flesh’ to excite potential partners.

The biggest sex organ is the brain. All sexual action begins there. It may not be sexy, but that is where arousal, stimulation and associated action begins. If the cheater claims that they are not aroused, it may be that they are not ‘tuned into’ you or are distracted by many other items. Given modern society’s emphasis on sex, they may be burned out and not wanting to face that. They may also be having an affair. Pills make it easy to hide a heart that is focused on two or more lovers. They do not have to worry about guilt since they have pill that compensates for that.

Pills do not cause adultery. Pills do make adultery easier to maintain. The pills allow the cheater to by-pass God’s system of checks and balances. In previous generations, the pill that changed things was the birth control pill, these days, it is the performance enhancement pills. They both by-pass normal biological processes and trick the body. Tricking your body always has consequences and increases risks.
Getting your relationship healthy again may also mean re-thinking pills.

  1. Very profound.

I also read in the DMV manual that they consider ONE drink to impair judgment …another great reason to stop having business meetings around a cocktail …

  2. Although one drink is considered to impair judgement, it does not put them in the classification as ‘legally intoxicated’. The measure for that is with blood alcohol and the determining amount varies from State to State and and Nation to Nation. Although impaired driving and impaired choices have some similarities, mixing the two concepts creates more confusion. Rather than be the author of more confusion, it is best to leave the two areas seperate.

  3. OK Just thought that was interesting …and observable in my own cs case. Not intoxicated but ‘relaxed ‘ from his own standards of integrity and more “suggestible ‘ in social environments.

    1. In those relaxed states, it is often easier to make soft, easy choices. The alcohol often makes them more vulnerable to softer, easier choices. It is easy to blame the alcohol, but the problem starts in the heart.
