During the holidays, while you are busy, the cheater may be doting on their lover. Many affairs are discovered over the holidays by people like you who notice ‘little things’ that don’t fit. The seat back in your car, a strange earring, unknown numbers on the cellphone or numerous other little things. If not that, it may be unusual items on the charge cards, strange toll receipts, or large amounts of time away from home. When catering to a lover, the cheater will often lavish money and time on them during the holidays, when such stretches are more easily noticed. Lovers are human and want attention as well. (I know some of you may contest this, claiming that the lover is more reptilian than human, with cold blood in their veins, and a desire to mate like rabbits, but for argument sake, let’s consider them human, especially if you are the lover who has been trapped by the cheater unawares of what the truth is).
The point is, you will want to be alert for little clues that could indicate that the cheater has some extra-curricular activities going on. Since we are all human, the likelihood that they will be able to hide all the clues is small. Trust your gut. If you don’t feel right about something, check it out. Many couples have suspected things, yet ignored their gut to their own demise.
There are also the Christmas parties, where after a few too many, things often happen. The alcohol leads to a loss in self-control and with that loss of self-control, passions are often unleashed. Alcohol and affairs are a volatile mix.
