The Challenges of a New Start after an Affair

New starts are wonderful. They are filled with new opportunities and experiences. One of the big challenges you will find with new starts is that operative word “NEW“.

Whatever start you make will need to be new, not merely recycled. When you recycle old behaviors, in a short time, you’ll be back to your old ways.

When you call a recycling a ‘new’ start, you’re fooling yourself. Rather than keep fighting the same old fight over and over again, you need to move into something new.

Moving into something new requires that you 1) let go of the old 2) do it differently and 3) change your mindset.

New starts requires each of those three items (letting go, doing it differently and mindset). Attempting a new start without all three is asking for a recycle of the old.

With any new start, you’ll encounter resistance. It doesn’t mean that you’re doing it wrong. Resistance is natural.

Resistance is about discomfort with change. Part of you fights in keeping things the same. You are used to the same and effort is made in keeping it.

Anytime you and your spouse go into new areas, there is resistance. The fear of the unknown, the fear of something new, the fear of being out of your comfort zone. Each of these are part of the resistance.

If you want different results, you have to take a different approach. You can do make changes, yet you will have to give yourself permission to do so.

Another challenge is that you may not know what to change. You’re willing to do it, yet are unsure where to start.

The Affair Recovery books address bouncing back from the affair, yet rarely give you what you need in making a new start. You’ll know what you did wrong, but what you need are a list of changes to make.

You want someone to tell you the answer to “What do I need to change?” Your spouse may not even know what needs changing.

The video “Help for the Cheater: Starting the Road to Recovery” guides you through these changes. You can know what needs changing. There may be items or behaviors being used by the resistance.

Knowing what needs changing makes new starts go smoother. Order you copy today and make the new start a smooth start.
