Would you recognize a home wrecker when you see one? Although you have preconceptions about home wreckers, they may not be who you think they are.

You may be on guard against the wrong type of person. If you think that home wreckers are driven by the desire to destroy families, and are one step away from nymphomania you’d be mistaken.

The biggest home wreckers are actually care takers. They’re driven by a desire to care for the cheater.

In caring for the cheater, they do what they think will protect the cheater’s emotions and spirit. In their zealous protection, they end up hurting other relationships and wrecking the home.

Their home wrecking is a secondary effect of their care giving. You may not view what they are doing as care giving, even though they do.

This means that protecting your spouse from sensually clothed, smooth talking, self-focused hussies who you consider home wreckers is misplaced.

The home wrecker is actually someone who cares for others. This is why old flames and BFF’s pose threats.

They may enter your life as friends, neighbors or some of the ‘good people’ at church. You don’t see the potential destruction when you meet them.

When your spouse is faced with the choice of the care taking lover or the hard to please spouse, they make the soft, easy choice.

The cheater feels the home wrecker understands them. They enjoy the attention and admiration they receive from the home wrecker. The home wrecker likely views you as the person who doesn’t appreciate your spouse or hear them out.
