Casinos and Wife Swapping

The first time I stepped foot in a casino was when my brother-in-law took my wife and I. On entering the casino, we stepped into a whole other world.

This other world was mesmerizing with sights, sounds and smells. It was a sensory overload.

Each machine and table had the odds posted. I suppose that gamblers want to know what their chances of winning are. Although the odds are posted, there’s no guarantee of a win or that things will even be favorable to you.

My brother-in-law showed me how to read the posted odds and leverage them in my favor. Even when I applied what he taught me, there was no guarantee that things would end up profitable.

The casino always post the odds of winning and not the odds of losing. Although you can calculate it yourself, it would send a downer message if it was posted.

That introductory experience at a casino came to mind when a reader asked “How often does wife swapping lead to divorce?

He wants figures and odds of things going wrong if he does wrong. I suppose by having someone who is considered an expert give out odds, it makes his decision to swing a ‘calculated risk’.

Swinging is also a way of trying to stay in your marriage while straying from your marriage.  If it sounds contradictory, it’s because there’s a contradiction.

There’s always the possibility she’ll stay with you, at the same time, there’s the possibility she’ll divorce you over it. You may even want to divorce her in the event she really gets into swinging and constantly compares you to others in an unfavorable way.

You start getting so many comparison points, the security and stability of your own marriage is in jeopardy. Wife swapping, like the casino is a gamble. You can read the odds, but that’s no guarantee of a particular outcome.

Like the casino, you can get help, but usually when you ask for it, you’re in so deep, it feels hopeless. The time to get help is before things get out of hand.

In the case of your marriage, take care of it before you risk it. In the video “How Can I Trust You Again?”, you can learn ways of improving your marriage and regain trust you thought was lost.
