Holiday Stress and Cheating (a note to cheaters)

For some of you, the holidays have more pain than joy. When in pain, you may not find yourself thinking straight. When your marriage is not a good one, you may find yourself seeking companionship in places and ways that you would not ordinarily consider. If your spouse ignores you, spending more time at their job, the bar or the church than they do with you the unthinkable is thought about more than ever. When your spouse nags rather than listens, complains rather than praises, cheating may be seen as an option for you. Some of you may be looking for ways of staying away from the home since there is so much tension.

Although the temptation is there, it is not worth it. Those few minutes of indulgence have a price tag you cannot afford. It will cost you treasure, and peace of mind. It will takes its toll on your soul and your family. The solution you are seeking will not solve your problem. Instead of a temporary fix, find a ‘real solution’ to the issues. Improve your relationships rather than another cosmetic one that washes off when the excitement is over like a woman takes her make-up off.
